Apotti provides effective social and health care services

In accordance with the shareholders’ agreement, Oy Apotti Ab earns zero profit. The expenses entered in the profit and loss account will be covered through invoicing the owners. Expenses entered in the balance sheet are covered with loans and equity investment.

The total cost of building Apotti and deploying it in specialised health care, primary health care and social care will be 416 million euros for the current number of users. Investment costs include all the necessary licenses, all the development work including integrations, a technical operating environment (including server rooms) with high standards of information security, user training with associated support materials and learning environments.

Apotti is owned by Helsinki (37.03%), the Joint Authority HUS (44.74%), the Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services county (14.76%), and the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county (3.48%).

Use of the Apotti data system

The Apotti system is used by social and health care professionals as well as municipality residents through the Maisa client portal. Apotti is in use in the HUS Helsinki University Hospital area, in the City of Helsinki, in the wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava and in Kauniainen.

Data from the Apotti system

The Apotti system’s data-driven management model is based on utilising extensive up-to-date data, supporting decision making and resource allocation in social and health care. The system makes it possible to analyse care processes and client behavior which enables preventive actions and better planning of services. First and foremost, the Apotti system is a tool for organising up-to-date services of high quality.
